Junior Developer

Who we are

Altus Analytics, a business of Altus Group, is the leading global technology partner to the commercial real estate industry and is poised for significant growth and expansion over the next three years.

Altus Analytics brings together the collective expertise of ARGUS and Voyanta as the leading provider of CRE solutions worldwide. Our technology and industry expertise empowers commercial real estate clients and partners to work collaboratively to enhance decision making, drive performance and optimize transactional efficiency. From property budgeting, making strategic decisions about acquisitions or working with different teams, different organizations and different data, we can bring it all together.

The opportunity

As a result of accelerated growth, Altus Analytics is looking for a Computer Science grad to join us as a Junior Full Stack .NET developer. Someone to build and maintain customized data integration, reporting and analysis tools and applications for ARGUS clients.

As the new Full Stack .NET Developer, you will be trained by a senior developer and have continued support as you move into independent ownership working on applications or integrations from the backend right through to the frontend. This is a rare opportunity for a new grad to join an elite team and start to manage projects within their first six months in the role. As you progress, you will work with the customer’s BA and Technical teams, gathering requirements for customized reporting solutions. You will have an opportunity to focus on integration projects, occasionally working onsite (primarily within the USA) executing the data migration and building out the algorithms and business logic.

Who you are

You are a new or recent graduate from a recognized Computer Science program with 0 to 3 years work experience. Ideally you have hands-on experience with .NET technologies. You might be more familiar with Java but you are a quick-study. You want to build your custom development skills, be mentored by supportive senior developers and gain experience working directly with clients. You are looking for a chance to join a specialized team within a larger company that has the processes but not the red-tape. You want the opportunity to act as the primary point person on the project, with the freedom to code creatively, see your progress and fully own the results.

What will your career at Altus Analytics look like

Joining the ARGUS team at Altus Analytics is a rewarding move that will increase your talent as a developer, a project manager and a customer contact working for a global company. This is a chance to acquire commercial real estate (CRE) knowledge, client-facing experience and move into a senior developer or team lead role. Altus Analytics is rapidly scaling and with this growth comes the bigger possibilities to move into a product development or professional services position in the future.

What will your first 3, 6 and 12 months look like?

Day one to the start of month 3 will consist primarily of training and ramping up on our technologies, the industry, our development process and the way we interact with clients. You will have a dedicated mentor and you will work side-by-side on smaller projects to experience the end-to-end process in a real-life scenario.

From month 3 to month 6 month you will take on more independent project work as well as client-facing work with senior management oversight. We will start cross-training you on more complex projects.

By the end of your first year, you will be autonomously running multiple projects, building applications and adding value to our projects by extending our product base.

We want a Full Stack .NET Developer who can:

  • Build and maintain customized applications and reports.
  • Interact with clients to gather requirements and support their needs.
  • Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.

    • Exposure to the .NET suite, C# and SQL
